Khali to be a part of compaign against drug in Punjab

Famous Indian WWE wrestler The Great Khali is keen to do something for the betterment of Punjab youth. Khali will be soon touring in Punjab villages for campaign against the use of drugs.

Khali said, "Punjab has given me so much. It is time to pay back to the state as I feel highly obliged to the people of this region.” He kept on saying, "Years ago, I was a nobody. Now, I am a face recognized almost across the world. The state police provided me an opportunity and it helped me to be what I am today."

The Great Indian Khali alias Dalip Singh Rana basically belongs to Sirmour state of Himachal Pradesh.

On March 5th 2o16, in Ludhiana Khali will organise a Free-Style Wrestling competition. Some of the famous WWE wresters like Justin Gabriel, Mike Knox, Crimson, Mike Huge, Brody Steele, Santana Garete, Renee Michelle, Apollo, Jinder Mahal, Karti Forbes are going to be the part of event.

After the Free Style Wrestling, Khali is planning to open an Academy at Ludhiana to train budding artists in freestyle wrestling. Khali said, ". "I am doing this job at Jalandhar where 200 youngsters have joined my academy. In fact, three boys, Lovepreet Singh from Moga, Satinder Singh from Panipat and Akbar Ali from Chandigarh, who were trained at my academy, have already signed agreements with the WWE. They have got contracts worth crores of rupees."

Khali said that cities like Firozpur and Patiala are also in his wish-list to have Wrestling Academies.

Khali is going to take part in a march against drugs at Ferozepur by Congress MLA Parminder Singh Pinki on March 2.
