Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and Other Arenas (1990–1996)

Chris Jericho wrestled in independent arenas, namely Calgary's Canadian National Wrestling Alliance (CNWA), Canadian Rocky Mountain Wrestling (CRMW), Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre (EMLL) from 1990-1995, before he joined ECW, on the recommendation of Mick Foley (1996). There he built his reputation and was making his eyes on WCW.

World Championship Wrestling (1996–1999)

In 1996, he joined WCW, where in June 1997, he won his first WCW Cruiserweight Championship. And he won the title three times in WCW. He tried to challenge Goldberg, for the World Heavyweight Championship, but never got the chance.

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)-1999-Present

In 1999-2000, Jericho joined WWE, where he was shown as a savior, who was going to save everyone from the millennium bug and called himself Y2J. He won his first Intercontinental Championship Title at Armageddon 1999. After that, he feuded with Triple H and his wife Stephanie, but was not able to win the WWE Championship. Then during the WWE-WCW Invasion era, he was mocked by the Rock, for never winning the big title, as result he defeated The Rock at NoMercy 2002 to win the World heavyweight Championship. At Vengence 2002, defeated both The Rock for the World Championship, and Steve Austin for his WWE Championship, on the same night to become the first-ever wrestler to hold both championships at the same time, making him the first WWE Undisputed Champion. During 2003-2004 he became Tag Team Champion along with Christian.

At WrestleMania 21, Jericho participated in the first-ever Money in the Bank ladder match, but lost the match. Then he started to feud with John Cena in 2005, along with side Eric Bischoff, who in turn fired him, when he was not able to defeat John Cena.

In 2007, Jericho returned to RAW, when he interfered the celebrations of the newly crowned WWE Champion Randy Orton. Then he blamed Shawn Michaels for being selfish, after Shawn retired Ric Flair. This started a feud between Jericho and Michaels. He damaged Shawn Michaels left retina badly and accidentally hit Shawn’s wife. This resulted in an unsanctioned match at Unforgiven 2008, which ended in no result. But at same night, after CM punk was attacked by Randy Orton, Jericho entered the Scramble match for World heavyweight Championship, and won the title to become World heavyweight Champion for the third time.
