Pre WWE Career
Melina started here wrestling career in Empire Wrestling Federation (EWF). From there she auditioned for Tough Enough III contest of WWE, but lost in the finals. After this she joined the Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where she managed Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury, calling themselves “The MNM” group.
WWE Career (2005-present)
 Melina made her debut in the WWE along with MNM in 2005 Smackdown! Where they feuded with Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero. She made her in ring debut against Michelle McCool and won. Then she was drafted to RAW where she feuded with Trish Stratus.
In 2007, she defeated Mickie James to win the Women’s Championship. She lost the title again to Mickie James, but regained the title the same very night.
In 2008, she lost the title to Candice Michelle. Then she feuded with Beth Phoenix.
